There might be many reasons we decide to bind our lives with 3D CG industry. For some it's the passion for video games, movies, architecture, to others it's an extension to traditional art - sculpting, painting, drawing. Those who decided to progress from being a 3D enthusiast / hobbyist and become a professional (and by that I simply mean earning money by doing 3D) sooner or later had to answer the question - should I work as a freelancer or would it be better to apply for a job in one of the CG agencies out there? Perhaps I should even consider staring my own creative agency?

Another update from Chocofur. Today we've released 25 new free models and changed our licensing for all free products to CC0. It means you can copy, modify, distribute, even for commercial purposes all our freely available 3D models and scenes. The CC0 license also applies to our free shaders and textures. So far there are 85 CC0 models and over 200 shaders we've deicded to share with Blender community. Keep calm and use it with Blender
We would like to proudly announce another batch of freebies - 72 render and displacement ready shaders for Cycles and Blender 2.78! Each shader includes 4096 px seamless texture released under the CC0 License.

This summer we did a small update on our 3D environments for Blender and Cycles. You can find new interior and exterior scenes available for purchase. We hope you like them!
We wanted to proudly inform you that our entire chocofur shaders and textures library were contributed to the Blender Cloud which means they're now released under CC0 license. How does it work in practice? Quoting from the Creative Commons source:
"You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission."
In other words, all of the shaders and textures are now released as "open source" assets which you can use without any limitations. There are three ways you can download these assets:
